I did ask Vlad if he could put a few options in there for colors, but did not get a response. Maybe just having the option would be nice. fingers crossed

Finally been able to test this, 0.5.6 from the apps4meego testing stage.
It's excellent, & def. better than the default weather app. A few things I've noticed though:

1)
In the feed screen there's no visual indicator that lets you know you've launched meecast.

2)
The actual launch of the app does takes quite a while, not sure if this can be improved slightly.

3)
When choosing the BOM weather feed, there's only two Australian cities one can choose from!
Penrith is not even a major or capital city...
The capital cities are: Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Hobart, Canberra.
There's other major regional cities that I can list if you want, but this should be in the BOM data.

Also, when are you guys going to charge for this? It's def. worth a buck or two.
To bad for the people that are too cheap to pay that much.

Cheers!

Is this still a possibility longer-term?

^Maybe after, when MeeCast add "my" weather-history -feature.

But already worth of money. 2-3 euros minimum.

Please keep Good Work going!

Hello!
We will think over indication of start and over application launch acceleration. Also we will try to add the large cities of Australia.

If you want to make a donation, it can be done http://omweather.garage.maemo.org/

Best regards, lsls

What I mean by "visual indicator"....
Is demonstrated when you click on the day/date to the left of the weather section, at the top of the feed screen.
It flashes briefly to let you know that the calendar app is about to be launched.

Yes & if all the major/capital cities can be added, & launch time accelerated, that would be awesome.
Currently I have to use Sydney, but I don't live in Sydney, the only other option is Penrith

Is this still a possibility longer-term?

Only the sun and the weather have colors, could the clouds be grey for instance and the rain be blue too?

IIRC there was some limits of colors on that "sleeping" screen?
