So what happens to non-developers like me? Do we get to update our phone after everything is stabilized (hoping it will be in a couple of weeks time from now!) or do we get an update that has less (yet stabilized) features? Or is every other update from now on going to an opt-in? Am a little confused here!

And booting is a lot slower as well. No big deal, but I wish it'd show something instead of a black screen for a couple of seconds.

gsalone: so when this is tested and refined, will it be available to all as a stable one (after removing the glitches)? or the only way to get this one is now as opt-in?
biijal: @gsalone, this one will continue to remain as an opt-in release. We are continuing to refine this and hope to provide the next update as a stable release to all.

Hmm not sure about this update.
After having to do a 'factory reset' and updating from 1.0.05 -> ... -> 1.1.038 (not direct update) I have noticed that pkcon in terninal fails with authorization error, unless run as root
