Maybe you have a very old version of Yappari?

Recent versions of Yappari detect SIM changes and notify you about that and ask you if you want to register the new number of if you want to keep the old one.

So first, upgrade Yappari to 1.0.38.

Then after that I guess you have to delete the file /home/user/.config/scorpius/yappari.conf or rename it to yappari.bak or something like that.

U'r really doin a gud job scorpius. We al appreciate ur work. Yappari is almost perfect...almost. Just smal issues like smtyms shutting down wen a new chat wants 2 b creatd, msgs being delivered but nt actuali showin d 2 ticks...msg sent n deliverd while it shows d grey tick wich is supposd 2 signify dat it wasnt sent...den i tink it is kinda annoyin wen u'r chatin wit a lot of pple n so many windows ar open...it even opens a seperate window for sm1s profile n yet anoda for d picture (dat is understandable)...just 1 window shuld b owkay...goin back n forth in just a window will do. To everyone (this affects me, can't send picture and get some errors on Yappari but is for this):

Sorry we are currently experiencing issues with MMS: sending videos, photos and voice msgs is temporarily down. we are working on a fix

Greetings.

Yappari is working fine, again thanks to Scorpius.

Just one question: I have to have an internet connection to be logged in. This is different to Whatsapp on other phones where the connection works solely through the 3G cellular network. Is this normal with Yappari or is there anything I can do?

You are mistaken. Whatsapp on other devices also uses an internet connection, whether it is over 3G or wifi.
