Next time, pay attention to where you're posting.

This is for Maemo 4 and the N810, not for the N900 and Maemo 5.

Wrong OS, wrong device... wrong forum.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. 2nd relevant packet is probably from when I left the capture running while the app restarted. Two very small different conversations there I guess.

Yeah, I agree! Why do companies like this compel people have to do that??

I'm not sure why people are suddenly so keen to crack this as to be fair, the bundled maps do work as they have always done, so I don't feel that the wider maemo community have been screwed over or dumped royally as some people here suggest.

The issue is for people like me who have purchased a licence, and are now at risk of not being able to re-activate if necessary.

I have re-flashed a couple of times (out of necessity) since the licence servers went offline, and have not experienced an issue, although I do have backups, and if I had to switch devices then I would be screwed.

This is business though, and Wayfinder did not go down just to irritate Maemo users, although the application on the tablets, originally from Navicore and inherited by wayfinder when they bought Navicore, was Wayfinder's ginger stepchild, as they only released a couple of map updates for here in the UK, and the traffic and safety camera updates (which were great) were quietly discontinued well over a year ago.

It is the likes of Google and Nokia offering free sat-nav, and maps which have sent Wayfinder crashing.

I recently bought a new Nokia S60 phone (5230) with free sat-nav, so I now have an up to date app with many more features than wayfinder ever had for free. The phone cost me about £20 plus my old phone as tradein.

Cracking the activation will not magically cause map updates to appear, or stuff such as traffic and safety cams to work again.
