Yes, it's different (better) now. There is an outline of the box (faintly visible) and the entire window can be tapped anywhere to begin typing your message.

Hey Epage,
Are you feeling good enough about the latest to put it in extras? I'm traveling and didn't want to test anything out, so I've been waiting for all the bugs to be worked out. Sounds like the latest has some great new updates. Do I have to go get it or will you put it in extras?
By the way, Dialcentral/GV works great even over here in China.

EDIT: Nevermind. I apparently didn't know what I was talking about. I thoough it would notify me of an update. I ran the Application Manager, update...and it found it. I'll try it out and give my feed back.

**Caution**

It may be purely coincidence, but after updating to the latest version I noticed my alarms I had set cleared. I did test a few other "beta" releases of DC in between so I'm not sure if this will effect everyone. Just a heads up

On uninstall I disable the Dialcentral notification. Since upgrading is an uninstall, I disable it then.

I'll be sad if I'm somehow breaking system wide notification support again. Currently I only have one bug filed against Dialcentral about system wide notification.

How do people feel about disabling notifications on uninstall/upgrade?

Hey epage!

I was wondering if there is either a setting or option in Dial Central or Google Voice so that each text message doesn't carry a history with it every time.

It would be nice to just view a conversation like one would with instant messaging.

The constant history on every response makes it confusing for me to read sometimes.

Thanks.

Hmm Addison that is a great idea for a feature, maybe add it to the suggestions? It would have to be something added to dialcentral though.

@epage I don't mind disabling notifications on uninstall, upgrade. It sounds like that would be better for preventing more problems in the future.

Okay, feature request.

Disable each message from having a distracting history attached to them each and every time. It can be hard knowing what the other person has said sometimes.

Also, display the entire conversation and scroll to the end of it just like you would find with instant messaging such as Pidgin.

Right now, the latest message is displayed at the top of the screen, so in a sense, you have to read everything backwards.

Again, it would be really nice to have everything displayed in the exact same format like how you would find it in Pidgin.

Thanks!

If you feel comfortable with this, I attached a script that when run with Dialcentral installed should download each of the pages I use for talking with GoogleVoice and save them to the current working directory. This could help narrow down at what side of things is the login process failing. It would require manual checking though. I would be willing to check over the files but I would appreciate it if first you did a quick run through for personal information. I don't like even having the hint of appearance of farming information.

Sorry, but I never heard of the term "farming information".

Care to explain?
