the iphone 4 has yet to be released to the general public for real world tests. It already failed a wifi test during steve jobs' demo.

Meanwhile see what others have to say here.

Well, since iPhone 4 is soon to be out now.. does the new features of this phone can compete with features that the 1st MeeGo device will bring?? so should we expect that the 1st MeeGo might be superior than iPhone 4?? coz if it is not, i think no one will get it..

@chase15: of course newer products in the same category/within similar target market will always trump the ones released before it. At least in the easily seen technical features.

But the trickier and IMHO more important portion are the features offered (combination of hw, sw, services, online integration, etc). These things are like wine....

To all the whinning iBabies, please stop posting your rubbish here. Crawl over to Uncle Steve Job for a breast feed an iBurp and a nap in his cot - iTunes/iApp. You guys obviously are too immature to handle a device that is as open and flexible as the N900. Move over to the Apple nursery and stop making fools out of yourselves with your whinning. You nappy messing babies !!

According to (slightly flawed) comparison done by Engadget N8 did very well. Apparently it got the most green boxes. (Because in reality iPhone 4 doesn't have 5 band 3G contrary to N8).

And as has been said countless of times.N900 or even N8 aren't iPhone competitors, those who think they are are confused.

Off-topic but what the hell :=)

MMS is much more than just pictures. You can send almost anything with MMS. Even though I almost never use them, I don't consider MMS obsolete either.

Jesus Christ not the MMS war again. Do you guys get board with new topics and feel you have to digress onto old ones.

That said MMs shouldnt die. in the UK its cheep so not a financial issue. Not everyone in th world has a internet package and there for cant send emails.

I compare this to Skype, I bet eveyone here uses the phone more than Skype. Why, you have a phone that has the functionality built in. The Phone technology is outdated and you have to pay for it. Skype is free. Is it because not everyone has Skype or even the people that do dont use it so much.

Much like email, a lot of friends have the functionality on their phone and they have not bothered to set it up unless they have an iphone. Why, again its easier to send an MMS as everyone (well except some phones :P) has MMS out of the box

Anyway back to the iphone. I have to admit im not a fan of iphones simply due to the smug factor. i have always thought it was a good device just not the Jesus phone people make out. Now the phone has finally caught up with the rest of the world, i must admit iphone4 has caught my interest

Whats your problem i understand why the ppl here are "whineing" becouse they bought the n900 for nearly the same price than a iphone would cost now. The n900 is a greate piece of hw but sorry compared to ip4 or evo its outdated. But this i guess we could understand i mean its a whole year older..

But the main Problem is still the Firmware i mean i live with my hildon deskop , wlan , email bugs and restart it minimum one time per day but this is more a sign that i give it up and use it just for chatting and if the homepage dont uses a newer flash version for surfing now..

if i would have the money i would buy an iphone4 maybe just to see how it can be better and to heal my wounds..

And i guess many ppl here thinking the same i mean common you must be blind if you still think the n900 will blow the ip4 away to repeate some thread Titles which have been posted in this forum..

There is no need to call users immature if they just talking about a newer device. But i guess the Problem is that its an iphone they talk about..

Then what is the n8 supposed to compete with?

I would get an iPhone if it will come with active 3d amoled display and ARM Cortex A9 not like iPhone 4 with obscurantist tft panel and Cortex A8.
