I added to my DreamRemote project now support for the Linux VDR-Live project. It seems to work so far flawless. So, any comments? What does the community think?
It's in my opinion not a reinvention of the wheel. But it's also not a totally small change...

I would like to raise again the question how much code must have to be changed in a existing project to participate at the MeeGo Coding Competition?
In my opinion this was not finally and exactly determined...
And the next question: Am I allowed to submit a project I participated with at the last competition?
There is no rule for this. But in my opinion there should be a rule to exclude superb projects to "win" again and again and again.
But as long as there is no rule to participate only once... why don't fill up our small competition with a additional contribution?
My change:I added to my DreamRemote project now support for the Linux VDR-Live project. It seems to work so far flawless. So, any comments? What does the community think?

I dunno man, if you spent at least 20 hours on adding stuff yourself and are not entering it in the beginner category, I have no problem with your submission.
I've got my own question: can we extend the competition another week or two? I really need to test my app on the n950 since it refuses to run on maemo5 once I enabled some geomapping stuff from Qt Mobility.

Edit: I don't think qgil will be happy if he finds out about it.
Edit2: Ahh so you got a device after all.
But the WM7 "horse" has a blood lineage tracing back to donkeys such as WM6.5, 6.1, 6.0, 5.1 that was fully neglected for too many years and Microsoft did sweet F all to maintain it (still running on Pocket IE4/6!!).
