Actually, the L2 cache enabling patch orginated from the Nemo/Mer community. They had it in the kernel before it was taken into Harmattan and Nitdroid kernels...
Hence if there are some issues with device speed I guess it is something else, propably nothing as easily solved.

AM I blind or what?
Thing is I cant flash the FIASCO image found at the specified link in this thread. it only whines about:
sudo flasher -a A0E9827F_DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3.339.2_PR_LEGACY_339_ARM_RM-696_PRD_signed.bin -k ./usr/share/kernel-moslo-n9/zImage-kernel-moslo-n9 -f
WTF? Isnt above what unlock is about?

You need to not have a lock code set up, as non-Nokia kernels can't access the memory where the lock code is stored. Just remove your lockcode.
(you could also disable the warning if you want before flashing kernel, there's a command I don't remember now)

mike, what are you going to do?
Flash the kernel? Then you are missing the --flash-only=kernel flag (most probably from above try). Or try to flash the named image (then -F instaed of -a, but that will flash your rootfs)?
And no, this has nothing to do about "unlock". With above flashed kernel you will enter "open mode" with all other optimizations/pros/cons/problems. Read about open mode and password/accounts problems and make yourself a clear view if you are ready for that.
You may also have a look at ubiboot thread of juiceme!
I guess there might be some problems with hidden networks, at least I remembet Android has some issues there.
Hence if there are some issues with device speed I guess it is something else, propably nothing as easily solved.
