Do I need to edit or delete the config files to let it create new ones?

Then you have the pak files (the game files are not included) not in the /home/user/.q3a folder

when I write " ls /home/user/.q3a/baseq3 " ( without quotes ofcourse ) in xterminal, I see the pak files in there

I have all the .pak files both in:
/home/user/.q3a/baseq3
/home/user/baseq3

But the game still doesn't start. Any hints to why?

I used WinSCP, it's simpler...

Anyway, I got the same problem. It starts loading then drops back to desktop..
Thoughts?

The framerate is really disappointing though.
Did that about 3 times, still no luck

It works!!!! And the framerate is good!!!! And I haven't overclocked my N900!

Not sure why it works now, but what I did was to place the pk3 files in /home/user/baseq3 and NOT /home/user/.q3a/baseq3.
I also did something else. After a look at crashlog.txt, I noticed it was also complaining about not being able to load default.cfg, so I made a copy of q3config.cfg and renamed it to default.cfg.

Hope this will help the others to get it working too!
