D-Iivil, I have a quick question for you.
If I download a theme, customize and save it under a new name, can I proceed to uninstall the original theme or is my newly saved theme still dependent to a certain extent on the original one?

i accidentally deleted the awesome transitions.ini in the blackplastictheme-themedir......so to get it back i need to re-install right? or un-install the theme then re-install?

This is a bit offtopic, but if you didn't delete the transitions.tmp, then you can just type:
sudo gainroot
cp /usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir/transitions.tmp /usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir/transitions.ini
