Can you share what you did ? Seems that Win 7 users are having a lot of issues and I don't have a win 7 machine to test

You can customize the keys sent by each button, there's a settings button in some profiles.

cool this is what I did step by step.

1 - Remove ALL parings from PC and N900
2 - Open BlueMaemo
3 - click on wait for connection
4 - Open BT panel on my PC and search for device
5 - Select N900 start pair enter code etc.
6 - I think this is key step. WAIT for the PC to finish install all drivers.
7 - The N900 screen will suddenly chge to being connect to the PC via Maemo blue, and you get a nice screen with mouse keyboard etc

Hope this helps

Can not do that because I do not have any other bluetooth devices turned on even. And the phone does not see any devices if I try to add new bluetooth device.

Change the name of the BT PC (PC side), not in the N900.
In the N900 remove the pairing with any device that has these special characters.

I'm off to party, see you in 2010

Have a nice party.

As I already told I do not have any computer here only PS3 and that is turned off. So can not change any name
And I do not have any paired device, so can not figure out what is the problem and why is bluemaemo not starting.

How to change your PC's name (Windows 7)
1.- Click on "Start"
2.- Click on "Control Panel"
3.- Change the view to "Small icons" or "big icons"
4.- Click on "System"
5.- On "Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings", click on "change settings" (on the right).
6.- On the new window, click on the button "Change"
7.- Change your PC's name to something plain, for example, from H'llo to Hllo.

On that is done, pair your device.

0.- Turn on your n900 bluetooth (if used before with your pc).
1.- On Windows, Click on the "start" button.
2.- Click on "Devices and Printers".
3.- Unpair your n900, by selecting it, right clicking on it, and selecting "Remove device".
4.- Turn off your n900 bluetooth.
5.- Open MaemoBlue on your n900
6.- Click on "Wait for connection".
7.- On your PC, On your notification area, right click on the bluetooth Icon, and select add device, there add your n900 (will be shown as a bluetooth keyboard).
8.- Pair with it. The PC will give you a code that you need to put in the n900, a screen will automatically open on your n900.
9.- Your PC will tell you that it was a success, and is already connected, but your n900 will remain in "Waiting for connection". Just wait a couple of minutes, and it will send you to the menu (Windows 7 is still installing drivers).
10.- Enjoy.

@ VDVsx : I have already reported the bug.

@ nux : What are you pairing your n900 with?

With PS3 and it does not matter is it turned on or not.
Bluemaemo does not even start up

But I will wait for the new version and try with that

I did all the steps detailed in the recent Win7 posts, but it just won't work. I changed my PC name to all-lowercase letters, removed all pre-existing connections, tried both wait for connection and establish connection but nothing.

In all cases it pairs with the pc, but after failing to find 3/6 drivers it won't let me use bluemaemo at all, not even through the three drivers it did install (bluetooth link of some kind, remote and HID drivers). Wait for connection doesn't do anything, it just says waiting for connection long after the drivers are done installing. Establish connection seems to work best, since it asks me to connect to my pc after the pairing. But after answering yes, it just says "failed... damn".

Hopefully I can get it working soon since it seems like a killer app!
