I dont even bother replying anymore. But I am so kind that I give you one tip: app manager reports how much it must download stuff, not how much is needed after unpacking&while configuring&reflashing device (yes, the installer also reflashes stuff but keeps user data etc)

ps I am not cool, I am pissed. thread is full of stupid comments from stupid people who have been warned about installing stuff from extras-*. and disclaimer: people are stupid only because they post stupid questions here and dont bother reading two pages back (because of other stupid peoples stupid posts)
Wouldn't it be easier just posting this?:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Free_up_rootfs_space

And perhaps some tips more would help. Like:
# apt-get autoremove
# apt-get clean

I am not sure how "intelligent" you feel, but your words speaks loudly about it ;-)

There aren't "stupid questions", just stupid answers.

Steps i made to update:
  • Notice the update message in Argentina
  • I checked my rootfs and have only 28MB free.
  • Disable respositories extras-testing, extras-devel, maemo, ovi and mozilla
  • restarted phone
  • open app manager
  • Created backup when update program offers
  • run update, updated and everything was happy.
  • Everything was in place after the upgrade, documents, music, movies, configs, EVERYTHING
  • enable respositories extras-testing, extras-devel, maemo, ovi and mozilla

Please people first read the previous messages in this topic and maybe follow this steps.

First impressions: way too faster FOR EVERYTHING in the device, even third party applications wich took much time to start, now are faster.

Lets see if this continues with the usage of the day. :-)

I clean mine eveyday at night.

Seriously: Yes, i notice this change too in the images and fonts.

Same bad thing is that terminal takes like 3 seconds to start and become responsible.
