its probably writ among the 500 posts in here but i'm not reading all them lol

You could always disable the "maemo.org" catalogue and add Extras manually. I keep Extras disabled and use the manually-added Extras-devel catalogue I have with distribution set to "fremantle".

App manager also looks different when installing updates.

Looks like its easier to handle now!! one click processing for updates!!

I just added it as maemo.org 2.

It was always there, just that you had to tap the status area for the 'button'.
