Slight problem here guys,

I set up my Cyan N9 on tuesday and have been using it since.

I took it out of my pocket today to see that the phone was off. Tried to turn it on by holding the power button down as usual. Did not turn on.

I've been trying to turn it on by randomly trying combinations of the volume rocker and the power button but still not turning on.

I tried holding down the power button for 8 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds etc - still not turning on.

Everything was working fine as of last night and today except for when I took it out of my pocket.

I got home and plugged the charger in to the laptop, the notification light comes on for one second and then goes away. Trying to start the phone with the phone plugged into the laptop doesn't work either.

Any solutions?

Did you try charging directly from a power outlet? Sometimes the battery is so drained that USB alone won't charge it to an ample level. I killed my battery purposefully last night and plugging to an outlet brings it back.

I haven't tried charging from the outlet yet but the battery was full in the morning when I left the house. So I doubt that's a problem. I'll still give it a shot - is there anything else I can try apart from plugging it into an outlet?

Is there a thread on "bricked" N9's or N9's that don't turn on? I can't seem to use the search function to locate them.

Thanks!

Well after reading quite a few posts in this thread i seem to realize that the cheapest prices for the 64GB version seem to be in dubai.

Black N9 64GB - 2349 AED(around £397 or $639 USD)
Blue 64GB - 2200 AED

The prices seem really tempting to me to actually pick one up but...

I would like to know if the models sold in dubai are Made in China or Made in Finland??

Going through some posts in TMO i realize that the ones Made in China seem to have all the screen issues & bad reception issues..

Any confirmation on this matter would be helpful...

Just got my 64GB black at 680 euros from ebay.it seller is www_gabibbo_com in Switzerland he ships to Italy for 15 euros he's a decent guy.

He told me that he's sold many N9s to Italian accounts, both private and business and even to some Nokia Stores.

My N9 is made in Finland and works well.
