Check it out a intel atom board running tizen. The price seems really good for the a devboard like this except for the 2gb ram limit, many phones have 3gb ram as it is. That said it is 64 bit which means 64bit efi and open source drivers for intel graphics, it checks both necessary boxes for running linux. Hopefully we find 64 bit Intel Atoms inside of Windows tablets so that running linux on them becomes easier. Also the Samsung z1 should unveiled today along side other possible Tizen devices.

Are the ValleyView Gen7 (that's the GPU core listed for the more expensive option of CPU) drivers really fully open source (sorry for noob question)? Or is it some crap similar to some other chips - open source kernel part + closed source blob in userspace?

Unfortunately the Z1 wasn't unveiled today, however Samsung never gave a date to begin with and the December 10 date was speculation at best. Also Samsung has already begun creating inventory and manufacturing the devices so I presume they will be released given these facts.

More info on the Samsung Z1, apparently the planned release date is January. Also Samsung is planning on releasing more Tizen cameras.

Looks good. Hope they are aiming to get Devices world wide With better spec and higher price.
