Bug squashing is indeed pain...
I will wait till November-end, if December I dont get my device I will just wait for Maemo 6. Anyway, I can survive with phones the company gives to me for free (some nokia e-series)

I think they did and atleast they are bothering to reply. Also, how many open source projects do you know that divert all heir resources to marketing, than on the actual project.

danke Peter once again, may you live long and have over 400 babies

i'm not peter, but i can answer your question

yes, 3G will work in France, all devices are the same in terms of connectivity options. only the keyboard layout is different.

Umm, it's pretty self explanatory. Look at the frequencies in the US, then look at the frequencies in France...you have your answer! Your question is something you should be able to answer yourself with a little effort.

Not really the US is nowhere near as much of a standard on these things as Europe. Whether a particular device will work for both is dependent on the device and which carriers it's supporting.

I find it sad so many people complaning while at the some time I think the ultamet goal is to get as many people happy with the released version instead of having people whine about it after the release.

I think the people that need to be impressed the most by the release are right here in this forum. Yet all they want is a device so they can the complain about it not working as it should and so on.

Joe Average won't hear of this for probably atleast a month or two after the release really. For those a few after release updates won't matter. But for those that will be using it from day one those are the ones that will make or break it.

What I wouldn't mind is getting an email message on the day it is released direct from Nokia. It's released go to your nearest Nokia store and get it.

Waiting is half the fun. The other half usually ends in disapointment if it's not handled properly.

I'd rather wait an extra month or two and know that the device and software I get then and there will be more vetted and bugfixed etc.

The one thing I don't expect in that time is actually a hardware revision - i.e. adding or removing bits and pieces. But I do expect the existing hardware to be tweaked(possible with fixes for issues people have) and the software to be optimised as well.
