New test binary contains alarm support, run asui dt ; asui it to download and install it. Escape and Home keys can be used in place of the close (escape) and snooze (home) buttons.

If a menu is open the alarm will sound but you must close the menu and then open ASUI to turn off the alarm.

If the alarm goes off in either charging runlevel it will appear and play its sound but screen and keys won't work so you'll have to long press the power button. Will have this fixed before releasing the package.

Do any apps set alarms, other than large statusbar clock and the clock app?

Let me know if you find any other problems.

Alarm seems to work fine for me (alarm applet).
Till now I've been unable to use ASUI except for short tests because alarms (I use it to wake up in the morning)
I'll leave it running now.

If I start charging with the unit off the following happens; The ASUI screen appears showing time, charge %, etc. Now if I quick press the power button the screen goes black and there seem to be no way to get the charge info unless I boot up, where it then goes to ASUI screen. Then in order to get out of that screen I need to press the power button (screen goes black) follow by pressing the screen unlock button then pressing the power button!

Version 0.5.2/N810 WiMax.

Thanks for working on the alarm bug. The alarms now works in the clock app and the large clock app.

But the alarm does not get progressively louder when it repeats the tone while waiting for it to be closed or put in snooze.

EDIT
It should alarm for about a minute (and getting louder) then go into a snooze state then alarm again, during this until it gets a close/snooze response.

If an alarm is set I can not shut down the unit with a long press on the power key. I get the ASUI window showing that the unit is being charge, time of day, etc. I can shut it down while it is running if I select shutdown in the ASUI menu.

Set? Do you mean going off? How are you able to select shutdown if alarm is going off? Please give exact steps to reproduce both problems.

The following steps take place before the alarm alarms at the set time of 4pm as an example:

1.) Set the alarm for 4pm tomorrow with the clock app.

2.) long pressing of the power key will not power down the unit, instead the ASUI window is displayed showing the time and that the unit is being charge but the charger is not being used.

3.) If I had not long pressed the power key in step 2 but had short pressed the key to bring up the ASUI window, then touch the power off icon in that window the unit will power down.
