Not only that. Juice's solution does not address syncing contacts between devices in any way, shape or form.

My solution is what I need, which is backup'ing the content of the device automatically via network to my server at home...
From there I can for example get at the contacts with ease, just as messages and media content which are more important for me.
As I keep it synced daily the sync works really fast over 4G.

But you want something to be copied to simcard, why?
Simcard contact memory is really really tiny and it does not even have all same fields as normal contacts database.
Sure it is doable just as copying contact data from simcard, but why bother?

And yes, as @pichlo says this is about copying data to my server; copying to other devices works well via bluetooth already.

i am very careful about my privacy that's y i don't sync my stuff online and contacts on the sim card means i can access contacts even on a feature phone with no internet connection when i change devices.

Very good reasons.
I myself have not used a featurephone for several years so did not see the immediate reasoning.

Yes. I could not decide what to use so I had to go for the full setup. Just in case. But hey. You are right. It’s overkill! I’ve deleted a few and adding a shorter version right here. Easier to read. Now we just have sit tight, quiet and wait to see if we can track down Dan.

Earth to Dan...Alpha, Charlie, Dan, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India, Juliett, Kilo, Mike, Papa, Quebec, Tango, Uniform, Whiskey, X-ray, Yankee, Zulu.

Do you still using Android? I repeat: Do you still use android?

And if so, what version.

One important argument with android has been how poorly it handles multitasking. Android, in it's attempt to manage battery and memory usage is known to kill jobs with little warning. I just happen to notice that on android version O there is an option to keep jobs running in background, at least on my phone (Mate 10). Not sure how robust it is. Will test later.
