I don't know what you consider 'reasonably priced', but play.com have the bluetooth stylus priced at £49.99

At $50US, I would definitely buy *if* it did it's job really well. It seems as if the tip is sufficiently fine for writing, although not as fine as a pen-tip, but good enough for jotting notes, especially if you could zoom in/out of the page and scroll around (ala the xournal maemo app, albeit with pinch/spread gestures).

I'm not sure about this but: it seems as though the stylus doubles as a bluetooth handset! It has a speaker grille, near the top of the pen and I believe I can see a mic sliver along one of the sides -- though I could be mistaken -- and a volume rocker. If true, then this is pretty cool, as I was looking for a good BT handset, and if it doubles as a stylus, then it's a double win.

A BT handset that's the size of a stylus would make this a great companion for taking calls on the go. It's got a clip and is tiny, so it can be used in a pinch, and easily stored/clipped in a pocket or even worn around the neck.

I'm very curious to see what becomes of the stylus, as this seems like a killer feature. Though it's not something that you'd use for every operation, it's exceedingly good for writing, which has no equal currently on this most perfect of form factors. The stylus would transform the Tab into a TRUE academic and business tool and finally be a realistic substitute for paper.

Here's hoping that some apps surfaces that uses the stylus effectively! With the incredible adoption of Android by developers, I'm confident that there will be many apps to choose from!

It looks as if the Tabs release date has been outed! Thanks to the play.com link from Duncan, I found this:

It lists the release date as being November 1st, 2010. The currency is pounds, so I assume that this is the UK release date, but something tells me that other releases will be around the same time!

Here's an interesting video with a 'dagi' stylus on the iPad. What's interesting about this video, is that the girl is using a modified bike glove to prevent unwanted input!

This is a novel approach to preventing unwanted input.

As an aside: the drawing app (Sketchbook Pro) is amazingly cool and a 9.7" screen is very functional for this usage! In any case, here's hoping Autodesk has an android port in the works for the barrage of Tablets on the way!

I'm really curious now to see the sensitivity and speed of the Tab's input.

The Android device ecosystem is starting to look very interesting, especially for this kind of "post-smartphone" world. Software-wise I'd prefer Maemo or MeeGo, though...

I would have liked to have seen a meego tablet by now but Nokia seem to be dragging their feet with regards a tablet. I personally would have waited to see what it was like but I don't think they will release any news soon which is a shame.

It's all about timing really, especially If you have contracts with carriers, but I will keep my eye on future announcments.
Competition is good after all!

I keep wondering if MeeGo will be arriving with too little and too late?
Things are snowballing between the 3-4 main camps as they engage with continuous cluster**** among themselves.

This is indeed a very cool device, though it's functionality seems a tad limited. It's positioned well as a remote for the sports enthusiast on a bike or jogging, as they don't need to fumble around for their phone. A small/light remote would work well in these scenarios.

It would have been cooler (IMO) if it had a speaker + mic + headphone jack attached to it. In that way, it could double as a quick phone-answer companion, a2dp handset, as well as a the intended function of being a remote. This would make your smartphone/tablet very usable even if it were tucked away in a bag. As just a remote, though, it seems a bit limited.

If it had the aforementioned functions, I would definitely buy. For now, it seems neat, though not useful enough to warrant the purchase.

MeeGo will find itself in a highly competitive market, and I, like you, am curious to see what it will introduce that will be enough to differentiate it from its competitors.

I can only imagine that developers in general may be reluctant to target MeeGo with Android, iOS, and BBOS to consider. Of course, this is all hearsay.
