Don't you think it's now time to start moving KP to CSSU as community Kernel?
IMHO the Thumb2 experiment is a real success and maintaining so much flavours of CSSU plus combinations of KP and/or community kernel, is going to be a mess.

A pitty you're feeding community with obsolete and biased destructive rant, while you actually completely miss the point. FreemanGordon and me already are at least 5 steps beyond your limited arrogant POV, having agreed on him trying to build a KP which is ABI compatible to stock kernel, and I appreciated he agreed on that and promised I'll support it.
You're also missing (or deliberately ignoring) that it's been me who supported and pushed to get thumb-errata-workaround incl sysfs-switch into KP. Well it would spoil your story of me==evil

i can confirm this...had kp50, intalled thumb2 and i am pleased with result, and now new kp51...really confusing and dont have the slightest idea what to do

I read in one LKML thread (where you and Felipe discussed the two alternative drivers) that one would have to stop mce, insmod the module and echo auto/none/host/dedicated to /sys/class/power_supply/bq24150-0/mode.
Assuming I try the above, will my N900 become a bratwurst?
(or a bratbrick How do I stop charging? is this automatically detected? or do I have to echo something to /mode and unplug the charger, etc.?
Sorry lots of questions. If this works it's going to be BIG (for me at least) but I need to know (without time for reading the module nor time to actually check if the module is OK

no time to comment on all the other questions, just one thing: charging on N900 is immanently safe due to hardware design. No way to fry your device.
