New build!
Bug: The send logs functionality didn't send me the most recent logs because the logs weren't flushed to disk: Fixed!
Bug: inbox update used to pick up all items every time. Fixed!

This looks like a great app. But for some reason, I never had any success logging in no matter what. I have already uninstalled the previous build and installed the latest one from http://code.google.com/p/qgvdial/downloads/list.

May I know if this app is location dependent for a user to be able to successfully log in to his google voice account?

I'm not in the US right now, although I can definitely use my GV credentials using the N9's built in SIP account setup. I am also able to make and recieve calls to my GV accounts.

I thought there was something wrong with the previous build. When I saw you got a new build I excitedly installed it. However, logging in is holding me back.

Thank you for your great contribution to the community.

The app is not location dependent. I last tested access from outside the country about 2 years ago. I haven't been out of the country since then, so I don't really know if GV has started blocking access from outside the US. I think it has not.

Have you ever been able to login in using qgvdial?
Click the Send Logs button so that I can see whats going on.

Updated first post because some things were outdated.
New builds have been out for for a few days, Ovi store has updated the Symbian version.
The Ovi QA is being silly about testing the Harmattan version - they're using a regular gmail ID that's not been configured for Google Voice and claiming that qgvdial does not work.
How did it work for the Symbian versions then?

For all the n9/n950 users who want the latest version, you're better off going to the project's download page for the moment.

Since QGVDIAL has been stable and functional for sometime; I was wondering what you have planned for its future development or how much longer you plan on bringing out new revisions.

[either new features, or esthetic improvements to the GUI]

Thanks,
Kevin

qgvdial needs a ton of improvements in the UI as well as getting feature parity on all platforms.

The new thing I was looking at a while ago was to get "call with gtalk" implemented within qgvdial so that there's no need to depend on SIP/Skype/Phone to dial out.
That isn't working out as quickly as I'd hoped because I haven't had enough time after my day job and this other app I hope to bring to Maemo and Harmattan soon.

Oh and I'm also going to make qgvdial run on Diablo.

Please send me the logs using the "Send logs" button in qgvdial, so that I can debug the problem.
Thanks.
