- install rootsh from extras to your phone
- connect your phone to pc
- copy your .ttf OR .otf fonts in the "root" of MyDocs -folder (shown as Data -folder in PC if connected in PC-Suite mode)
- type these into xterm (press enter after every line):
sudo gainroot
cp /home/user/MyDocs/*.ttf /home/user/.fonts/
cp /home/user/MyDocs/*.otf /home/user/.fonts/

Close the terminal, reboot the phone and voila; you have new fonts
I cant get this to work, no matter what I do!

do I place the font file IN the data folder? in the root command do I have to have the "filename.ttf" or just "filename"??

Sorry for the ubernoob Q's.

Hey again D-Iivil,

What is the filepath to the media player background image and icons? I have changed my desktop wallpaper but would like to meddle with the media player background and icons.

EDIT Never mind, found it.

Yes, in the "Data" -folder. And make sure you type everything as I wrote (commands are CaseSensitive). You don't have to write anything as a file-name because I typed an asterix on the command (*.ttf).

OK, so just 'filename' and not 'filename.ttf'

appreciate your response.

Currently active scheme's backgrounds are located at:
/usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir/backgrounds
/usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir/mediaplayer

And if you wan't to permanently change some scheme's images, they are located at:
/usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir/variations/

No no no. Don't type anything "filename", just copy & paste my code into terminal and it will copy all ttf and otf -fonts into right directory.

Thanks D-Iivil,
I didn't find the media player icons. Not as smart as I thought I was.
I have some nice replacement icons for Music Video Radio and Shuffle but can't locate the template or icons.
