So? The official doco that's come out in the last few hours, says they have rough demos devices but nothing more.
Are they re-badged J1's or are they something else that they're testing SF2.0 on? If the latter, then perhaps that's where the so-called "official specs" are coming from.

The news are about 'to be released devices' they don't bring up those specs in regards to the demo devices. Look, we can start a thread about communication problems at Intex, as their official PR channel is linking to conflicting info and their 'more premium device will be revealed tomorrow' also seems to have not happened, but not sure if it's worth it

Here's the official press release from the Intex side:

http://www.intex.in/Administration/R...0716013858.pdf

At the top, they mention:

Sailfish based products can be expected by Oct-Nov-Dec quarter from Intex Technologies(India)
So, it sounds like it'll still be a while (maybe up to six months?) before any Intex Sailfish phones hit the shelves...

If their RT's can be counted as authoritative for coming to your solid theory, then perhaps their "actual tweets" can also be counted as that -when you ask them to confirm your theory

Yet more different time-frames....
Straight from the horse's mouth folks, & not a single mention of specs, so we can take all the articles thus far as pure rubbish/speculation, not surprising really.

That video has under 10 seconds of screen transitions when (very slowly) swiping ... even supposedly mere days out now, they're still not showing anything. Is that really all they could come up with in the last 4 and a half months? The Indiegogo proof of concept showed more.

Slightly dubious about launch timeline given that 1.1.7 has quite a few issues and the still near blackout of footage.

Intex's device announcement appears to have been dropped. Though supposedly a device or devices will be available "by November" according to a message they retweeted. Why say yesterday that it'll be revealed and detailed and then neither Jolla nor Intex even mention it directly today ... amateur hour continues.

Did they ever say they were going to be revealing the full detail of it, or only that they would be officially unveiling the partnership (which they did do today)?
This article & others like it, are what sparked widespread assumptions that device details would be revealed tomorrow (today), I saw now official statement from them/Jolla like that.

Nope, according to their own official statement (see few posts above), they'll have "devices" out in Oct->Dec time-frame...

I'm seeing no official line from either that full details about SF2.0 Intex device(s) would be revealed today, only seeing tech sites "drawing inferences" based on what little info. they had.
Still, the whole thing was no doubt a massive tease, pretty big let down, but at least they FINALLY have a hw partner -kinda/maybe.

Doesn't sound too long design period considering they don't make any Qualcomm devices currently.

Jolla press release
:
Jolla also introduced that Sailfish OS 2.0 is available on an optimised and scalable 4G LTE reference platform.

To enable quick time-to-market for licensing partners, Jolla has developed a range of optimised Sailfish OS hardware platforms from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 200/600/800 configurations, a highly scalable mobile processor family offering 4G LTE to everyone in all price ranges.
Maybe those two Demo devices resembling current Jolla phone, are examples of this reference platform? The actual Intex devices may, or may not, be based on the same internals.

Didn't know that, that's possibly a critical point...

Yeah that was my thinking too, after the official announcements that we got ~several hours back from all parties.

We are demoing a reference device for Sailfish OS @ MWCS. Intex will announce products based on Sailfish OS licensing later this year!
