Backup your docs and do a full sw reinstall..run std settings and maybe ok?

Unlikely to be hardware...its pretty robust.

One thing though, whats the idea behind low voltages and then trying to max the processor out? Seems illogical to me to do that and expect stability....

Hello.

First time I OCed N900 using kernel v37 and it went very well. I've been using it for some time. A few days ago I decided to give NITDroid a shot.

So I upgraded kernel version up to 40,installed NITDroid. Played with it but decided to delete. I uninstalled it using instructions.

So I noticed my OC doesn't work anymore. Yesterday I deinstalled enhanced kernel using wiki guide.

Right now I'm running N900 on the stock kernel. But when I try to install v37 from extras repo it says "missing some dependancies blablabla". Log shows I don't have kernel-power-flasher. But I didn't manage to install it via terminal.

Could somebody help me please?+) Thanks in advance

Have you tried the devel version? It has some fixes, including fcam conflicts, IIRC

ok i have a so called "problem"... when i load "ideal" profile, it put my lower frequency on 500 MHz.... but after a while, it lowers it to 125!!! O_o :P
thats odd... it says that it should avoid frequencies 125 and 250...
and oh yeah: my phone is slightly lagish at those moments.... but when i load AGAIN ideal profile, it go back to 500MHz, and everuthing is allright.... TILL the moment it again lowers the lower freq to 125... :P
???????????????? any ideas what is wrong???

I installed v40 from devel, but it seems like it's not enabled after reboot.

Do I need to write something in terminal to make it work?

Terminal tells me this:
If you have just installed the kernel, you need to shutdown and boot to activate it
Usual power off and then on doesn't work. Could somebody explain me what exactly to do to enable the enhanced kernel?

IIRC, Phone app re-sets limits to 125-600 every call. I remember it being fixed at some point, but now when or where.

Try to see if it resets when a coll comes in or goes out. If Phone app is the problem, at least you know what we're looking at.

@qwenjis

I did nothing. Installed, rebooted, then CLI reported all is well and was able to call on kernel-config limits after gaining root.

Any errors during install? Did you use the terminal and apt-get or HAM? HAM eats some errors and warnings.

Tryed terminal, fapman and default application manager. No difference.
It shows enhanced kernel is installed, same for settings app. But the kernel is still the stock one.

No,no errrors at all.

Any conflicting apps? Several could impact this, like packages that boot off another partition, other OSs, boot menus, etc. Any possible conflicts?

I had NITDroid but I deinstalled it exactly as written on the project site.

Apps..Well I didn't install any new, just some updates. Is there any way to check possible conflicts?
