phone is laggy as hell now, something certainly got updated but im running at 100% cpu so it may still be doing stuff,,,, ill let you know if ive bricked screen is going on and off at the mo but im into the OS

If this is a firmware release how come you can do it under app manager update i thought we had to flash firmware with the image files... and maemo flasher..

ok after reboot my phone is 'half' bricked, dont do it yet. im in but ive got gfx corruption and cant do much, trying to fix

going back to a default theme because im getting a lot of gfx corruption and it seems a lot better now.....

still got the more icon so this isnt pr1.2, once i get device info ill try and post

if you did it through the terminal the version string might have not been updated.
high cpu consumption is usuallt the tracker doing its rounds, it should get better in a few minutes.
go in the browser, see if your back button is now on the left of the input field. if it is, it's most likely 1.2.

well im no expert but after selecting the default n series theme my phone seems to be back to its normall self. im not sure wot got upgraded but it does seem a lot snappier, maybe cos of the reboot, but my phone aint bricked which is good

Its not 1.2 i can tell ya that for certain

Try looking at the virtual keyboard (different layout), browser (back button), and file manager (Share in context menu) to see whats going on
