Hello,

Is anyone having trouble with pyRadio that started today or yesterday? My installation of this stopped working. I know this happened a few months ago where the API used became incompatible to Pandora, or something like that. I'm just wondering if something of this sort happened again or if it's just me having troubles.

Thanks.

Mine is not working either. Usually takes a few days to get straightened out. I will look into it tomorrow.

Thanks to the one who emailed me.

This will be straightened out and pushed to Devel/Test in about 10-15 minutes and then I'll need people's votes again.

Thanks.

Just updating that .. while I've fixed the problem Maemo Extras is not accepting my upload of the changes file. It appears to not only be affecting me.

Until that is fixed I can't push this out to you guys. For the more adventurous of you that understand the command line this is a very easy fix.

As root, edit the file /opt/pyRadio/libpiano/pandora.py, and change the line:
Code:
PROTOCOL_VERSION=30
To say:
Code:
PROTOCOL_VERSION=31
After that, pyRadio will work again.

If you don't know how to do the above.. just wait. As soon as Maemo Extras works again I will publish the update.

Hi Saint.

Did you catch my post on the previous page?

When I installed this, the app manager downloaded like 18 megs and it said everything went fine.

However, it wouldn't even launch.

When I uninstalled it earlier, only .3 megs was given back to the internal flash according to what it said.

I don't have a clue what to do with this.

Any advice?

Hi Addison,

I don't have a perfect answer for you but what I can say is that pyRadio depends on having PyQt4 installed. pyRadio itself is very small, probably around the 0.3mb you got back, but PyQt4 is actually quite bulky.

There has been several problems with people that have various PyQt4's installed depending on whether they have devel, testing, or regular extras loaded. Which repositories do you have enabled on your device?

Hrm.. Diablo. Haven't tried it in Diablo in a long time.

Take a look here:

http://maemo.org/community/maemo-dev...ues_on_diablo/

My recommendation:

Code:
apt-get remove python2.5-* pyradio
Disable Diablo Extras Devel and then Re-install, getting the PyQt4 in the Extras and not Devel repostories.

I lost Mytube, Rapier, SvgClock, Flipcalendar, Xword, and a whole string of happiness.

Oh well, let's hope this works.

I'll post again in a few.

Thanks Saint!

Sorta. *lol*

Make sure to install those all from extras as well before re-enabling devel. Those all depend on Python.

Remember that currently the pyradio package in extras is broke anyway.. but that should hopefully be fixed today since there isnt the waiting period crap to deal with in Diablo like there is in fremantle.

I was able to upload the new package to devel via the command line, not using the web assistant, so once they show on the packages page I will prmote fremantle to testing and diablo to Extras.
