http://www.3.dk/butik/3huset/nokia-n9/

Specialevent with Nokia N9

Markku Suomi, Product Manager at Nokia Denmark, will talk about Nokia N9 and operating system MeeGo.

You get the opportunity to get Nokia N9 in your hand and ask questions. Will be served a light meal for the attendees.

Practical information:
The event takes place on 8th September at. 16.30-17.30.
Location: 3Huset - Vimmelskaftet 35, 1161 Copenhagen K

Note that there are a limited number of seats to be distributed on a first come first served basis.

The phone can already now preorder on 3.dk and comes to sales d. 30 September in 3's sales channels, but you have now chance for being among the first in which it tries.
This is from today. And again September 30th in Denmark.

Just visited the website of one of the telecom distributors in Belgium.. no sign yet of N9, but the covers are listed!

Official Nokia Soft covers will be available in black, cyan, lime green, magenta and white. Recommended end-user price: 14.95€

Also listed are the following accessoiries:

Nokia Play 360° (black, cyan and white) with recommended end-user price of 149.95€

Nokia Stereo Headset BH-111 (black, cyan, green, magenta en white) with recommended end-user price of 44.95€

Nokia headset BH-112 (black, cyan, green, magenta en white) with recommended end-user price: 24.95€

They all have a recommanded end-user price with good margin, so you should be able to find cheaper resellers

I will do a daily check for N9

So I just got an email from Amazon in Germany, where I can order the N9:

http://www.amazon.de/dp/B005FIY8EG/r...841_pe_vfe_dt1

Too expensive though, but it seems the device will be sold, and has not been "canned".

Realy to expensive and it's only the 16 GB.

The 64 GB is in preorder at crazy 799 Euro.

The play's 360 price is way, way too high. It's just a mono speaker fergodsakes! The BH-111 on the other hand looks nice. Does anyone know if it supports NFC? Would be a nice bonus but hardly necessary.

Now, as for the price of the handset itself... I'm starting to get a little peeved. The whole N9 affair is probably the second most badly fumbled smartphone launch in 2011 after the pre3... two months or so after the phone was announced and nobody yet knows the price or the launch date? Reeeeally? In the meantime samsung has released, with little fanfare or fuss, multiple phones, several of which trump the N9's specs in the eyes of the great unwashed, and preaching them for the degree of openess of the Maemo/ Harmattan over Android will only get some glazed looks.

Frankly, it appears that only the TMO and some other FOSS and Nokia sites even remember this phone, and this vague defiant mooing emanating from this forum is the only discussion it gets. Meanwhile, everyone expects with bated breath the next Samsung octacore and the iphone 5. I'd really like to see some heads roll over this. Preferably Elop's and some of the other dinosaurs in the board.
