Anyone wanna take odds and bets on whether, at the end of next month, they'll push it off into November?

I just checked two different sites:
one in Germany that says "estimated 15th of September"
the other one in Suisse that says "est. beginning of October"

This is so annoying. I need a replacement for my (almost) broken N900

Went by the Nokia store in Helsinki today and asked about the N9. They only had a dummy phone, but even that felt great. When I asked the guy "WHEN?", I only got a useless "it won't be long, I can tell you that much"-answer.

I might just get a pin.. *cough* MAGENTA one, because it looked really nice

Yeah I just came across that at whirlpool forums earlier...

I'm yet to research it all, & what it really means, doesn't sound good superficially.
Sigh....

No the Skype is only for voice....
We have no confirmation if there'll be vid-chat at launch, despite there being a freaking camera.
Hence my request to ask them about: XMPP+Jingle(MUJI), Skype vid, or both.

I reckon we won't have it at launch....
But if Nokia's feeling generous/competent, we might get it with a major update later

Random readings:

Who cares about 1080p video recording when you've got 720p this good.

The guy feels it's slightly better than his N8, but photo's are still slightly better on the N8 IHO.

Quite a innovate interface for a twitter client

MeeGo is planned, but they're still waiting on Nokia to give them a N950/N9, sigh.

All the major telcos, and all the major retailers is pretty impressive.

Telco's:
Vodaphone, Telstra, Optus.

Retailers:
Allphones, Big W, Crazy John’s, Dick Smith, JB Hi-Fi, Fone Zone, Harvey Norman, Leading Edge Telecoms, Network Communications, TeleChoice and Virgin Mobile.

Then there'll be all the online-only specialist retailers.

But what these latest stories are suggesting, is instead of carriers having exclusivity...
It'll be released at the same time everywhere, & retailers/carriers will have access to all colours, & all sizes.

What happend to Vodaphone apparently having 1mth exclusive rights?
And what of that bloggers claims* that 64GB (black only) will only be for carriers?
And that retailers will only have the pink (magenta) 16GB?

I'm not sure we have the full picture yet... so sick of this ****.

Sea-ray phone (Nokia 703) to be launched 27 Nov.

Lets hope N9 will have shipped in significant numbers before then ...
