My issue is that it becomes unresponsive if you leave it running in a minimized window. I have needed to force it shut a few times.

That being said, I cannot wait until Weave comes online. The power of this browser is going to put others to shame.

It hangs for me even when it's full screen. It seems to use a lot of memory and that's what causes the slowdown; I have my virtual memory going too! Once it's optimized, it will be THE browser for n8x0 NITs!

The latest nighly already seems to be a little bit more responsive than the last beta.

I installed firefox mobile on N900, and found it extremely slow and unresponsive. Uninstalled it. Then gave one more try after a few days, still I found it unusable. Back to the preinstalled browser which is ofcourse good. But tabs would have been nice.

Now this is a useful comment

Software is in beta stage, that means it could be less than perfect, not fully stable or unsuitable for everyday use...
If you don't like it, don't use it, stop complaining and go write your own personal browser code...

It's better than microb on my N810.

I guess the question is how? Stability can be improved by fixing code. Speed can only be improved by eliminating CPU cycles or speeding them up. The former requires paring down the code by eliminating features. The latter requires new hardware.

It may be that the hardware has not caught up to Fennec's requirements and we'll need to wait for the N1000.

There's also optimization (paring down code without eliminating features). So it depends on how they write their code. Ideally they would've gone with the optimized route to begin with. But I know from experience and from friends who were computer science majors that sometimes you just write, write, write and optimize later. =P
