The manual shows the proximity sensor using the whole of the space to the left of the screen, so a cutout for the proximity sensor seems to be not possible.

There are 4 things on the left side which need cutouts. From top to bottom: VGA camera, proximity sensor, earpiece, LED.

If you'd need a cut out for the LED then I suppose you'd also need a cut out for the screen since the translucency of the protector obviously isn't very good then.
