edit: Just found your old thread on that problem. reading it now =)
Instead of following that which is old use --no-preserve in the flashing parameters to solve it

Seems to work now, thank you. But what does that command mean? What is not being preserved? (Well, obviously old partition-tables.. but.. )

I actually have to admit, I still haven't understood that flashing as a process. Does the OS get restored from the image, or is it being reinstalled, or.. what exactly?

edit:
It gave me a "success" // what now? edit#2: continued w/ "flasher -f -F main.bin" - its doing its thing..

Code:
sudo flasher -f -F DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin -F DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.13-7.ALPS_EMMC_ALPS.bin --flash-only=mmc --no-preserve
flasher 3.12.1 (Oct 5 2011) Harmattan

edit#3 - yep, done. works. will continue now with dev-mode, open mode, inception and repartitioning.

edit#4: How do I find out whether the whole "open-mode"-thingy has worked out okay? // accli -I // yes, worked out okay. Now I will incept the device, and then I will do the repartitioning and remigration of the data, such as taken photos.

yes, worked out okay. (What to do with that now, really? What advantages do I have?)

Now I will incept the device, and then I will do the repartitioning and remigration of the data, such as taken photos.

You don't need to incept the device anymore You can use AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo dpkg -i /path/to/deb to install debs instead of incepting them in open mode

Did you delete the folders first before creating any new accounts? You have to delete the folders regardless of if you have any accounts, reboot then add the accounts. It will then ask for passwords on the first reboot but no more after it.

Hi All,
I am getting message on my N9 that i am running out of Application Data storage space. I suspect this has something to do with my Email. This happened when I recreated my Email account using 'Other mail accounts'. I believe all the attachments got downloaded/saved. I have tried deleting the Email accounts but that has not worked. Any suggestions before I try saving my data and resetting the device?

Thank you in Advance!
Byron
