Then you have a problem, and not just with maemo. I also have a self-hosted server which luckily is not in the common blacklists but needs to build reputation for at least aol.com and outlook.com. For both of those I've even needed to sign up for a "feedback loop" so that if anyone does "report spam" I get to react on it. In MS's case I even needed to sign a contract (!).

Crazy stuff, but spam is a real problem. So get your stuff together: rDNS, DKIM, SPF, feedback loops, etc. and hope that Internet will not be owned only by large companies.

Thanks, reinob.

Curioser and curioser. I have just sent my email again, to the same address as before plus two others including yours, and this time it did not bounce

I received the e-mail and forwarded it to maemo community and council (just in case).

BTW:
Code:
Received-SPF: softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning <YOUR ADDRESS> does not designate 176.32.226.65 as permitted sender) client-ip=176.32.226.65;
Authentication-Results: mx.google.com;
       spf=softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning <YOUR ADDRESS> does not designate 176.32.226.65 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=<YOUR ADDRESS>
If you control your domain you should check your SPF record.

absolutely right. will do.
I did not realize it is that bad.
But checking mosushi.com against http://www.dnsbl-check.at/ says it is "only" listed at ahbl.org.
Could it be maemo.org is looking up this 4 years deprecated site you can not remove your server from anymore?

ahbl shutdown on Jan 1st 2015. Your domain is clean (check with mxtoolbox.com).

Please note that your .com domain has a different MX than your .de domain. Not sure if that's what you want.

Anyway, this is getting too off-topic here.
I take the opportunity to confirm that your e-mail was received and forwarded to the community and the council lists.

Thanks mosen and pichlo for candidating!

Also for historic reasons i have different webspace and mailservers for the domains... not ideal, i know... but some "never change a running system" sideeffect....

Sorry for off-topic, i will fix my stuff soon, its embarrassing
Thanks for forwarding my email!

You're welcome. Last off-topic: I had a look at your site, and I didn't only get hungry but it reminded me that in 2001-2003 I lived in Düsseldorf and I used to go to a cinema very close to your business

Off-topic over and out...

Don't forget DMARC - that one caught me off guard a couple of yeara go. And now Google want stronger keys for DKIM...

Triffic fun though

Guys like endsormeans make this community colorful and fun to be part of. I hope this will not become a community where deviating from "the norm" is frowned upon.

Pretty sure that was not the intend but I don' t know what is. I don't see the added value in criticizing how someone expresses him/herself if that someone isn't trolling or giving wrong advise. Why bother?

BTW English is not my mother tongue and I thoroughly enjoy (and understand) endsormeans posts. It helps to be somewhat intoxicated though

I swore to myself I would be a steely-eyed b-tard, not respond, not flinch, not even twitch a clint eastwood-ian eye.

Looking at my response to wicket nominating me..
It looks like I didn't say yes.. and I didn't say no.
Which would be confusing to anyone trying to decide whether I said aye or nay to becoming a candidate.
Confusion wasn't my intent.
adding to this was a previous comment by win7man concerning my writing style over a trivial off topic-ish humourous post I made(well not quite...the clones ARE coming to take over our lives.. people..).
so it was simply a collision of multiple ingredients to 1 singular point.

I do at times tone my posts down...
Sometimes I cannot...in all honesty do so.
It depends really.
Analytically speaking..

A-
When I am humbled or mortified by positive attentions directed my way..
and it happens ...
I lose it...
ridiculously over the top statements just come out..
It's my coping mechanism so I don't break down and weep ...
you great big fabulous pack of b-tards ...you..
hrmph...

B-
When I am long winded in an explanation of a process which I propose..
or method of implementation of some technique..
and I seem to be vague, or questioning the reader or my peers in an odd way...
or attempting to convince or hammer a point home or throw a gauntlet ..
My reasons are simple..
the vague rambling (at times..I really do try to keep my words on track) is me literally running with said work on the fly in my head ..and the very thought ..put directly to typed text...
If I payed exacting attentions to sentence structure (and in actuality I have no problem writing properly) ..
I'd have forgotten 3/4 of what was important to say.
So it's get it out and down in text as quick as it comes ...
and clean it up a little after ..if there is time.
As far as my tack of speaking to the reader and my fellow maemoans..
We all of us are (for the most part ) separated by vast distances.
I know and am fully aware you, my peers, are human beings
(until the clones start taking over, then it's every maemoan for themselves).
But as well from where I am near the last time zone of the day..on an island ... My fellows.. you are also voices of conscience.
And just as I am writing the debate within my own mind on a topic and writing it..saying "I am right, am I not?" I am not just throwing the challenge to my brain to disprove me and you the reader as well. Disprove me, so I might find the flaw to make whatever it is ..better.
When I say it out loud here...
I am not just saying to the reader I am saying it to myself...
since I do get rather like a dog worrying a bone when it comes to puzzles and riddles..
I must find a way I must find a solution.
It is not that I am trying to win anyone over..
hardly.
Disprove me, challenge me, offer a better and I am very happy to use someone's better, easier, saner, more expedient solution..
I am simply relieved it was a unravel-able Gordian Knot.

So and so.

Lastly...
and I can't help it ..
but
Dammit dammitdammit!!
I can't stay hurt or mad at you win7mac ..
bloody hell
I am terribly sorry for getting so upset.
my gravest most serious-faced apologies at this moment.

So in all..
behavioural idiosyncratic issues explained
(I cannot behave differently than I do, which does at times seem erratic I'm sure, but that'll pass and the madness of sanity will surely reappear and pop up afterward just as frequently as ever )

and the whole of the mess unsnarled.
It's all good.
really truly
cross my heart.
