Hi, I'm getting to point 7: when I try to cp it gives me a "/home/user: Permission denied" message. whoami says I'm root. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I see, I have to read it twice to get it, you typed in the prom"home/user/" I have since removed it. Sorry for the confusion. I am glad you get it now. How do you like the audio quality? Gizmo?

Thanks everyone for these guides. I am getting stuck at step 7 of 'bunanson's' instruction when I get the dreaded "permission denied" message. Could someone please explain in plain and simple English as this is the first time I am using xterm and becoming root and everything else... The whole thing is extremely foreign to me but I'd love to get it to work. Skyhost file is on my memory card (confirmed through using the file manager) and I am root (with the # sign). Thanks in advance for any help.

Got it finally to work after ignoring the '/home/user' bit of the equation in step 7. Why is it there in the first place?? You can tell that I am a complete newbee...
