@mcbook

Do you have any idea if this program 'Paragon ExtFS for Windows.exe' can handle the issue of masstorage after formation the MyDocs to ext4?

Further do you know this program for windows 'MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition'.
I have used it on extra card to HTC Desire (memory 512MB) creating ext4 (1GB) on a part of the card for apps! But don't know if it works on N9 MyDocs?

I think that paragon extfs works with ext4 but I'm not sure (it's a paid application I think)

second, why would you need a partitioning tool to format MyDocs?
N9 has everything onboard you'd need....

Paragon is free download. In case it don't work: With Mini tool you could maybe (?) as with my HTC exceed ex. 5-10GB ext4 and have rest in FAT and use masstorage here?

Sure, you can try....

I don't know though how partition exporting works when you plug in a USB cable...

You can report back and enlighten us

Don't know except that it's not an option with MiniTool only: FAT32, NTFS, ext2(3,4)?

Edit: so how to do that?

(Final solution before or later need Linux on PC!)

Started yesterday but then stopped because didn't know how fstab should look??

So:
rootfs / rootfs defaults,errors=remount-ro,noatime 0 0
/dev/mmcblk0p3 /home ext4 rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,barrier=1 0 0
/dev/mmcblk0p1 /home/user/MyDocs ext4 rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,barrier=1 0 0
ubi0:var /var ubifs noauto,no_chk_data_crc,bulk_read

Oder so:
rootfs / rootfs defaults,errors=remount-ro,noatime 0 0
/dev/mmcblk0p3 /home ext4 rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,barrier=1 0 0
/dev/mmcblk0p1 /home/user/MyDocs ext4 rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,barrier=1 0 0
/dev/mmcblk0p2) /home/user/MyDocs vfat noauto,nodev,noexec,nosuid,noatime,nodiratime,utf8 ,uid=29999,shortname=mixed,dmask=000,fmask=0133,ro dir 0 0
ubi0:var /var ubifs noauto,no_chk_data_crc,bulk_read

OR............??

Thanks but will exfat exceed the 4GB limit too?

And the fstab just the same but with exfat instead of ext4 in the MyDocs line, meaning exfat rw, etc?

there you go ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ExFAT

I personally prefer EXT4 but then again I don't transfer files via USB
