Oooh, the 60 Second Science podcast works now. (Episodes are downloaded instead of Canola just choking on them). How exciting

It did something a bit strange, though. When I first chose to download an episode, the progress bar appeared but didn't move. (Generating a bit of cursing at the fragmented state of online media distribution). I left that screen fairly quickly and went to the Current Downloads view. There was the episode, but with no download progress; the button to the right was the button to start downloading! I hit that button and it downloaded properly.
It hasn't happened again, but something is strange there.

Has anything been done about those podcasts whose downloaded files all have the same name? If my memory is working, they used to overwrite each other.

Speaking of ideas, somebody make me a voice recorder plugin!

Hi barbieri

you need to install the package ogg-support-lightmediascanner,
Thank you, that did the trick

I looked around and we do have Canola2-ogg package
Great news, when it becomes available let us know what to uninstall, clean up, etc. please?

Some videos are played with OSSO media player, while others are played with MPlayer. Please confirm which one is in use, maybe you prefer to use MPlayer for them, in this case just change atabake's config.
I would like to be able to do this but what is atabake’s config and how do we change it?

Cover arts are working now with the updated tuning plugin. Many thanks for the prompt fix .

Another thing I noticed was that the thumbnails from the Photo Albums is gone - was that intentional ?

Gonna take a look to see if I can reproduce that bug you mentioned (was it with that 60 seconds science podcast?). About podcasts which have same file names, they'll just be overwritten right now. Do you have any examples of podcasts that do this?

Inside the directory '/home/user/.atabake/', there is a file called config which specifies which atakabe backend should be used for each filetype.

That was definitely not intentional. What exactly is going on? No thumbnails at all are being generated?

If I go "My Photos >> Albums" - in beta 10 , I would see a list of folders with a thumbnail of random picture from each folder against the name of the folder. Now all I see is the list of folders - no thumbnails.

Once I go into a folder, the picture show fine.

LOL. there was me thinking atabake is a forum member and I was searching the thread trying to find his post about the config.

/.atabake is a hidden file and neither the Nokia nor the GPE File Managers permit access.

Could this configuration option be included in Canola Settings I wonder?

I just want to say that I'm really pleased with the new version, the scanning is much quicker at load, and I had some unknown issue with beta 10 that a reinstall of 11 fixed. I'm really excited about the theme maker, but it doesn't seem to be working, is it just down for maintenance or is it fully functional? Either way I'm really excited about being able to customize Canola more.

I had a similar problem. I used the red pill mode to get rid of lightmediascanner-ogg. Then Canola installed without incident using the package manager. Loading Canola, an error appeared suggesting to run Canola-Cleanup. Re-installing Canola, was successful along with configuring Canola.

I was happy to see cover art appear for audio albums I couldn't find before. Everything I tried works. Great work, guys.

Am using a 810 with the latest SSU.

Marcelo, I have the same questions posed last year. Any hope for a Canola release for the 770? Any hope for PC x86 desktop release?
