I sent myself an email from my comp and for some reason it didn't show up on my standby screen or the notification screen .... I think I've got all the settings right .... any ideas?
If you want push email (immediate notification) you need to set the schedule to 'always up to date' for both peak and off peak period. This option may not be available for some types of email like yahoo. Gmail is ok.

One can never have too much storage. Back when I got my first hard disk I was fretting about how I could ever fill up the whopping 20MB. But fill it I did and sooner than I thought and had to resort to compressing and dynamically decompressing executables to squeeze in more. And so it continued, each time I bought a bigger hard disk (usually 2-4 times bigger than the previous one) I kept thinking it is more than enough to store all my stuff. But "all my stuff" always grew faster than I thought and by the time I got into 20GB drives I had abandoned the silly idea of never being able to fill up a hard disk.

Refresh rate... Depends on settings on how much time it refreshes your emails you've got. You can set 3 hours refresh, half an hour, 1 hour,...

Ended up selling my iphone 4S after some 2 months just couldn't get that N9 out of my head. The 4S is reaelly a nice device, smooth and stable, just not me, mostly cause of itunes, anoying piece of program. All that syncing just to get songs transfered to your device or deleted. The smart thing though was full backup for easy restoring without further downloads without rooting like on android. Though the iDevice was just boring, no flaws to write home about, it just worked but is kind of soulless to me. There's no fire inside the iphone, no spark or soul or new things to explore.
Anyway was in the same situation as OP, wich to choose. I ended up with the Cyan 16 gb. Was going for the white but it seems out of stock everywere and i couldn't wait. So saw this great offer on a Danish site (370 euro) and took the plunge. Could have orderd the black 64 gb from simplyelectronics for 430 euro but i'm more for looks than storage.
Of all the devices i've had, i've never run out of space even though i'm a heavy gamer... (16gb's has been the most).
So hopefully i'll get mine on tuesday muhaha

Glad to be back on TMO

Regards Dousan...

Ohh typed with a H/KB on my trusty backup phone - N900

Thanks guys for all your suggestions ....

I'm loving my 16gb baby at the moment although it's taking tmobile over a day to port my number over from one SIM to another! So I'm basically walking around with two phones 'cause this 'switch' can happen anytime soon.

Dousan, I'm sure you will love yours. In the end, I just couldn;t justify spending that much on a 64gb just on myself (I just about had enoough for the 16gb in the first place).

Can't wait to use my phone as a phone. .. c'mon Tmobile!

I know what you mean, even though in my place it was just 60 euro more i had to put down for a 64gb and i have that from the sale of my 4S, but i rather have some extra money for something else than using that extra just to be 'safe'.
In my situation i don't take movies on the go and i don't have that much music (mostly stream from the net) and this will not be a gaming device (maybe a few old psx games), so 16gb will defo be plenty storage for me.
Further more i've been thinking about getting another tattoo and that extra cash from the 4S could pay for that

Regards Dousan...

e: will love it for sure

all this chat about 16 versus 64 convinced me to go ahead and buy the n9 64gb. (black) decided the extra storage would have to come in handy some day. keeping the n900 for now,if only for the keyboard. hoping for a good solution soonest for bt keys.
thanks everybody.

64GB has many uses. Backup all your photos/music and whatever you like. If anyone I know wants to browse my media collection I simply hook up my n9 to their computer and share. Especially useful for those who spend time away from their primary work stations as large USB storage comes in handy.

Now all i need is to encrypt my data. His this been discussed for the N9?
