Will the GPS app included with Chinook also be included in the N800 version? Will it work with a bluetooth GPS?

I'm just wondering if thumb drives will work in that full USB port on the lower right side. Is it just me or can no one else wait till November?!

It's a small portable device with probably right tight innards. You really think they'd go with a full USB connector there and risk having to make the entire tablet bigger or remove other features?

Of course not. Just makes the device a little less mobile when they move away from the almost ubiquitous miniusb to a more rare microusb. Now you have to take your own cables with you wherever you go.

But I guess when you have to get the thing as small as possible, smaller connectors are a must. Too bad, though.

edit: Whoops. Sorry, I think I'm in the wrong thread Carry on.

Does "Operating system updates available over the Internet" indicate that with OS 2008 they've moved to modular updates through the application manager as they've promised in the past? Or will the same old download-and-update-via-a-host-computer system be in place for a little longer?

Micro USB is rare now, but it's apparently intended to be the standard for cellular phones in the not too distant future. That being the case, it should become more widespread. And if Nokia's moving to micro USB for all their upcoming phones, it would make sense for them to use the same port on their other devices.

About mircousb, I read that will become the standard connector for mobile phones, to do charging with. A bunch of big manufacturers (Nokia included, IIRC) have agreed to do that, which seems very good to me.

the biggest question for me is will all our apps and themes work on the new OS?
