1. Do you use your Internet Tablet with your phone for Internet access?
Yes, ever since ditching my Blackberry, life is good.

2. What kind of phone do you have?
Motorola RAZR V3xx, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAZR#V3xx

3. Was it easy to get working?
Yes. Especially if you find this document:
https://maemo.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1217
excerpt: "UserName: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
Address: wap.cingular
The current N800 settings have ISP instead of WAP."

4. Who is your service provider?
AT&T (formerly Cingular)

5. How affordable is your data plan?
Costs went down after ditching Blackberry, even after adding a line to our family plan. $20/mo for "Unlimited" 3G data plus my AT&T voice plan. Faster data, lower cost = Boycott RIM!

6. What else should users know about that phone/provider/plan?
Pros:
Good value. Decent web browsing experience. This phone plays nice with the N800/ Bluetooth DUN. I don't even notice the phone. I leave it in a case for the most part.
Con: Why is there no headphone jack on this phone (apparently I'd have to use bluetooth headphones to appreciate its music features). I would trade all its still/vid-camera features for a headphone jack! But alas I do have ample multimedia available on N800 so not a big drawback unless I am travelling light.

1. Do you use your Internet Tablet with your phone for Internet access?

Yes have it connect automatically when wifi is not present
2. What kind of phone do you have?

Nokia N75 UMTS

3. Was it easy to get working?

No brainer turned on Bluetooth and did the automatic configuration on the N800.

4. Who is your service provider?

The old Cingular now the new AT&T. I once had the old AT&T before they were bought out by Cingular who made me switch. The old AT&T was great the new one not so much

5. How affordable is your data plan?

$20 a month Media max is supposed to only give me unlimited wap access but it actually gives me unlimited tethering as I have never been billed for tethering. However I don't do too much streaming or the like.

6. What else should users know about that phone/provider/plan?

Not a good battery life on the phone if you like to tether, I have to charge every night without fail and with heavy use more than that.
It is the only 3G Symbian device you can buy on contract (ie get for free or $50 or so) in the US.
This loophole where Cingular/ATT has not charged for tethering is too well known so one day when I get a bill for $400 I won't be surprised.

6. What else should users know about that phone/provider/plan?
1.: Yes (N800)
2.: Sony Ericsson W910i (HSDPA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS)
3.: it costs me 10 seconds of my life
4.: O2 Germany
5.: 25 Euro/month for the mobile data option (inkluding 5GB traffic/month)
6.: Good HSDPA avadibility in Berlin/Potsdam but no HSUPA. Most HSDPA-Areas are offering only 1.8 Mbit/s (e.g. T-Mobile/Vodafone are offering 3.6 Mbit/s). The smaller mobile data option is 10 Euro/month (inkluding 200 MB traffic/month). For me the phone works quite well.

- Blackberry w phone

4. Who is your service provider?
- TMobile
5. How affordable is your data plan?

6. What else should users know about that phone/provider/plan?
- BBerrys are useless bricks compared to the N800. If we can get broader wireless we'd be able to dump the devices and carry only one

1. Do you use your Internet Tablet with your phone for Internet access?
I used to a lot...until I got my iPhone (which can't tether)

2. What kind of phone do you have?
I have 4 right now, 2 which I should probably get rid of.
1. iPhone (hacked & unlocked)
2. Nokia 8801 (T-mobile branded and locked and gimped)
3. T-mobile Dash
4. Sony Ericsson w600i (Cingular branded but unlocked)

3. Was it easy to get working?
1. No...for obvious reasons. Damn Apple's lockdown
2. Yes, set up was painless through the wizard.
3. No...Nokia still refuses to support the PAN profile and Microsoft refuses to release the CAB to re-enable DUN. An impasse.
4. Same as #2. When the wizard works, it works.

4. Who is your service provider?
T-mobile USA

5. How affordable is your data plan?
I have a grandfathered data plan, but its the same as the current one minus the hotspots but with 100MMS included. 19.99 for unlimited net access + a $40/600 min/n&w free voice plan.

6. What else should users know about that phone/provider/plan?
EDGE is useful, the coverage is good in Washington DC and the surrounding areas, and i on average get anywhere from 60kbps to 150kbps. I think 3G is gonna be horrible for people (like me) that wanna jump from phone to phone since there is no standardized band for it. If i wanna buy a UTMS/HSDPA 3G phone, I'm gonna have to stick to T-mobile once its get deployed or drop it and go with the evil AT&T/Sprint/Verizon.

1. Do you use your Internet Tablet with your phone for Internet access?
- rarely. I will probably cancel the data plan, as I originally purchased it to have connectivity on the N800 while on the go, and don't use it as much as I anticipated. With WiFi at work and at home, and Google's free 411 service for looking up things on the go, I probably only use the phone + N800 a couple of times a month. Usually while waiting in the car for my girlfriend while she's shopping. On second though, maybe I shouldn't cancel it...
2. What kind of phone do you have?
- Samsung SGH-A707 (aka AT&T Samsung Sync)
3. Was it easy to get working?
- Yes, especially with OS2008. Previously, I had to modify several parameters after choosing the "Cingular Internet" profile. Now, it just works.
4. Who is your service provider?
- AT&T (was Cingular).
5. How affordable is your data plan?
- USD $20/month.
6. What else should users know about that phone/provider/plan?
- The Samsung SGH-A707 is a 3G phone, so speeds on the N800 when connected via bluetooth are acceptable.
- The latency is still relatively high, making the overall experience a sluggish one. Still, faster than EDGE was on my previous phone.
- The USD $20 data plan I use via AT&T includes "unlimited" data usage and 200 text messages per month.

Please somebody help me access the ATT network. I can get the internal browser to go out to the web but I can't get the N800 to get out there. It connects fine and then that's it. HALP!!!

Especially with the holidays approaching - it's a good time to talk gadgets.[/QUOTE]
