Thanks to this thread I installed Xournal today and it's working fine including exporting a PDF file. Very slick. Thanks again.

Happened to me too once. I unistalled and then reinstalled. I don't know was ist important.

Nope,
I had no access to my work desktop in the lab for the whole holidays.
I'll be back in the lab tomorrow Jan, 3rd but I'll have plenty to do and I won't have time to do much on it.
I plan to have a look at Xournal starting from next Monday when holidays will be over.

Actually, without them there may be issues (in fact, it was formerly quitting because the X-Osso-Service name and the Name clause in the D-Bus service file were different!).
Usually when it does crash ?
By the way, probably those crashes are due to the Xournal code itself, not to the patches made for the port, but I might be wrong.
traveller604, you need to add the extras-devel repository for lib GAIL.
