I can't find the adapter in their online catalogue, but who knows? Keep an eye out for it; the search function is rather good.

I've bought quite a lot of stuff from Expansys; their service to Belgium is impeccable, but they are not the cheapest shop around.

Waar in Vlaanderen zit ge ergens?
Hi Karel,

The question is if both the microSD and adapter from Expansys will work or not with the N810 ?

OK, got it. Have you considered asking them if you can try them out with a return option? They usually reply quite quickly to questions.

BTW, good find on the adapter

I have also those problems with my Sandisk 8GB mirco sdhc card and Kingston adapter. First time when I put card to 810 it works, but whole device got jammed. Had to take battery out. Now it only says "Memory Card Corrupted or Unformatted".

My 2GB Kingston mini sd works just fine.

Starting to look more and more like a card-to-adapter compatibility issue...

My own experience: yesterday I've bought a 8Gb Sandisk micro-SD and a PNY micro-to-mini adapter. No problem in my N800 (using a mini-to-SD adapter). Today my N810 arrived by UPS: I've put the micro-SD and its adapter into it and... it works
What is sure is that each parts are very small and it's not always easy to put the micro-SD into the adapter, so some may be encounter problems when all parts are not perfectly aligned... just my opinion...

Hi,

Where did you bought your microSD and your adapter. What means 'PNY' ?

Cheers, Jan

I have a SanDisk 8GB microSDHC Class 6 card which I ordered from MobilePlanet that came with a microSDHC-to-miniSDHC adapter. As mentioned in an earlier post, it worked everywhere (Sony VAIO, PS3, Dell running Ubuntu, Vista) BUT on the Nokia N810.

I have since tested the SAME 8GB microSDHC in Kingston and Palm microSDHC-to-miniSDHC adapters in the Nokia N810, and they work!

I'm currently using my 8GB Sandisk microSDHC in my Nokia N810 using a Palm microSDHC-to-miniSDHC adapter. I've been running it solid for over a week now without any errors. I have yet to see the "unmounted mmc" issue described here and elsewhere.

At least for me, there appears to be a definite issue with the adapter from SanDisk. Using an adapter from another manufacturer seems to solve the issue. From my own experience, I'd recommend a Palm adapter for a solid connection without random disconnects/umounts.

Nice work promethh.

Definitely a tolerancing issue, then. It's additionally possible that something about the N810 slot exacerbates the issue upon card insertion.

Thanks. Most of the micro-to-miniSDHC adapters I've seen are $6.99-$19.99 (USD) depending on the source. I picked up the Palm adapter from a local Palm store. The Kingston adapter is courtesy of www.froogle.com

At that costs, it's worth the experimentation. I'm sorry to see the SanDisk adapter doesn't work there where it works in many other devices, and I'm not 100% satisfied with tolerance as an answer. I'm sure SanDisk will push it off as "it works on most devices" and Nokia will push it off as "it's a SanDisk issue". Unfortunately, adapters are cheap enough that it's an issue that might not go addressed?
