There is evince for OS2007: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2007/evince/
Most probably it can be also installed on HE.

This Version is 0.9.0
The Version in this thread is evince_2.21.1-1.maemo2_armel.deb
Is there any difference?
I miss the "Remember last Page" functionality in Evince 0.9.0. Is it included in 2.21.1-1?
regards
rachid

Well, obviously there are some changes between 0.9.0 and 2.21.1. You can look for a details on main evince site http://www.gnome.org/projects/evince/

2.21.1 for maemo is only for OS2008 and still in pre-released testing state. There are at least one major bug which prevents it to be released.

'Remember last page' feature is present in 2.21.1.

is it possible to compile it for 2007HE? Any dependencies, which changed from 0.9 to 2.21?

I don't think there are extra dependencies there. The real problem is hildon API and library names were changed in OS2008. That's actually was the main reason that evince was not released for OS2008 for a long time.

Hi,

evince 2.21.1-1.maemo3 has been uploaded to extras-devel.
It contains fix for #1974(hardware keys support).

You can install it from http://evince.garage.maemo.org/evince-devel.install

I tested it on both N810 and N800 and keys seem to work just fine.

It works great Ed. Thank you very much for working so fast to make this available for OS 2008!

I feel bad having to report one minor issue: When not using "Continuous" mode, pressing the center scroll button does not advance the page by one. I'll attempt to submit this on Garage.

PS: On a N800.
