This is bad.
Try next: Change Home city for example to Los Angeles. Reboot the device. Bring back Home city to New York and reboot device.

Vlad

Vlad,

here goes the result,

~ $ ls -la /etc/localtime
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root users 33 Dec 19 18:11 /etc/localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/London
~ $
l can see that I am still on Europe time. I'll try your prescription

Regards,
Antonio

Perhaps it is a problem of the OMWeather.

I need following data are necessary for the solving of this problem from your device: (When OMweather says there's a thunderstorm coming soon! )
1. What does show a command 'date' in xterm
2. Your omweather config files (/var/lib/gconf/apps/maemo/omweather/%gconf.xml)
3. Your clock config files (/var/lib/gconf/apps/osso/clock/%gconf.xml)
4. All files from directory /home/user/apps/omweather/

Hi Vlad,

after changing to LA and back to New York, omweather seems to work fine. Also the data in xterm are correct, as they show New York as the city and EST as the local time.

Thanks a million!

1. Reboot tablet
2. Select "Home"
3. Select "Select applets.."
4. Select "OMWeather"

After that, select "Home" once more and then select "Applet settings" - > "OMWeather Settings". There you can set how this applet can be seen on the tablets desktop.

My omweather started showing no data/ N/A N/A N/A . . . as of about a week ago. I've tried deleting the contents of /var/lib/gconf/apps/maemo/omweather and /home/user/apps/omweather and reconfiguring it, and downgrading from .20.1 to .20, but neither one helped. Is anyone else experiencing this?
