I'm with you 100%!
Plus Clearwire still has the word "wire" in it, which to me connotes a land connection. I hear Clearwire and I think "fiber".
Break "Xohm" into "X Ohm", and you get "no resistance". That resonates IMO.

The deal only closed on friday, and the new website is already up.
www.clear.com
It's almost as if they decided to replace the Xohm brand with Clear (to me, it sounds like a Window cleaner) months ago

Clear's spectrum is 2.5 GHz. However, I don't know about the hardware. I'm still waiting for news on whether the N810WE will work on another network, such as DigitalBridge. Anyone know why the N810WE is not WiMax certified?

Clear seems to be Portland-only. XOHM is Baltiless and DC.
Oh well, some asses out there are making some big messes and over complicating things. I just hope that whatever the new **** is called its still 2.5 GHz so my USB XOHM Adapter and N810WE still work.
It'll be interesting to see how the WiMax landscape looks once this dust settles.

I live in Portland and spoke with Clear about coverage, I specifically asked them if my n810 wimax tablet would work with the service they currently offer in Portland. The response.... "not at this time" so i asked if it was ever going to work with my tablet, he said by May it should all be good to go.
