I do this by setting the calendar entry to "Read Only"

Hello,
Ive been really enjoying this tool, but it has suddenly stopped working.
Is anyone else getting an "redirection issue" "internal server error" when running erminig from the command line?
this started less then a week ago.

Syncing with gmail contacts can be done easily with gdata ... once you have understood how gdata work.

I'm currently working on mContacts an adressbook that sync with google contact. But as it s open source, you will be able to look in it to see how contact can be sync.

Can you please post the exact error message? I don't see such problems here...

thanks

Yes, I had a few tries with gdata and contact syncs, and it seems OK for the purpose (it works in a very similar way for the calendar sync). In fact this may prove even easier than calendar sync, since there's no need to perform time format conversions and other stuff like that...

[this message has been posted in another thread (as an anwer to a bug report), but I took the liberty to recopy it here, so that all informations about erminig versions are in a single thread]

Version 0.3.2 of Erminig will hit extras-devel in a few moments, so if anyone is interested in testing it, go ahead! Please remember that extras-devel contains software still in development, so update wisely!

The changelog is as follow:

- fix many errors related to "TypeError" (such as the one seen by combatdoc)
- configuration should not disappear by itself (completely rewritten configuration management code)
- various code fixes
- major code cleanup (we are almost at the end!)
- new option for command-line mode to always accept google events removal
- config file of Erminig is now backed-up by osso-backup

Known issues: recurrent event are still hit-and-miss, especially those with exceptions.

As soon I'm convinced that it can reasonably be put to extras, I will promote it, so that everyone can enjoy it.

As usual bug reports are welcome

just installed
works fine (only done one total update of 4 calendars).
Reoccurring event was imported fine (no exceptions in the reoccurring rule).

Thank you (on all of the threads on which this was announced [] )!

After a long time since the last sync where I have been adding entries to whichever calendar was convenient, Google or ITT, it looks like the first sync with the new version worked flawlessly. I was expecting a lot of dups that I'd have to weed through and get stable again -- no such problem.

Thank you,
Frank
