Can't tell, that's more a question for bunanson.
Currently the 'player' attribute will change the default player when such an item is played. I still have to fix this so that only for this item, or group items, the player is temporary toggled.

Another thing on my list, actually I implement this today, is an attribute called 'mplayeropts'. So bunanson can pass mplayer commandline attributes for a given link (think of cache size, scaling etc)

You are very welcome! We are glad that you enjoy it, as much as koos and I myself. As streaming TV channels are constantly dying(?) and we add channels to WorldTV99 on and off, it is NOT a problem to include some Mexican TVs. If you can suggest some channels, I will start working on it. It takes a lot of effort to decipher the mms:// source, which most channels trying to hide. Some very nice enhancements are on the way in the next weeks or so....

That is the goal, to predetermine which player plays better with which channel. So far, my experience, mplayer plays more channel but osso-media-server plays slightly, wait Serge, smoothier. If a channel plays with osso-media-server, chances are it plays with mplayer, but not the other way around.

For those nonEuropeans just returned from the Berlin trip, you have a chance to relive those German atmosphere with WorldTV99, tune to channel USA/GlobeTrekker, it is featuring Oktoberfest, Munich? They cycle the clips, so 1 out of 4 you will catch it. Of course, feel free to browse all 17 german channels, all streaming with excellent video quality. No. You cannot get it from Hava.

tips on running mplayer with WorldTV99:
audio
increase volume: add to the file /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf
softvol=yes
softvol-max=500

video
When kmplayer is up, menu>Player>enable Use omapfb with MPlayer, that makes mplayer decoding much smooth.

enjoy,

bun

Actually I prefer the .asx, .wmv, .ram or whatever links. KMPlayer handles these perfectly.
Eg. this is a link from the worldtv99 playlist
http://www.cbc.ca/mrl3/8752/newsatsix/toronto.wmv
It will be expanded in the playlist as
mms://a232.v8752f.c8752.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/232/8752/1223074694000/origin.media.cbc.ca/windows/newsatsix/toronto.wmv
and this is passed to player.
Sometimes mms links are just ip-numbers. In my experience, the encapsulated mms links are more unstable than the links to the wrapping playlists (the .asx, .ram etc).
In some cases these wrapping playlists contain more than one link, so if one server is too overloaded, you can skip to the second link.

The two channels listed as from Brazil are from Portugal:
Minhoactual TV
Yourvida

If you want to substitute them for Brazilian TVs I suggest:
TV Band: mms://pwvideo1.procempa.com.br:8080/bandrsvideo
TV RBS: mms://rbtv-t.256k.video.upx.com.br/rbtv

They transmit news, films, sport and shows. Both run very well with Kmplayer but I was not able to put them in my playlist.
Thanks for WorldTV99.
