why don't I see Mer installing. I did the dialog parts and it ask me if i want to format a fat partition. I said no and the installer closed. What happened? I already have the partitions so I skip those settings. All I needed was to select swap and install partitions. Why did the installer stop. No rebooting, nothing.

Ok. Here is a question I have, or two. Since I had my system clone to SD on the internal 2gb card with a 256mb swap partition, couldn't I just make an ext3 partition on the external SD card and use that same swap instead of creating a new one, making two swap partitions total? And couldn't I just used the bootmenu that I already had from cloning instead of reinstalling a new one? Since installing Mer, for now, is basically dual booting, which has been going on for a while now on the device, couldn't this option been available in the install process? Sorry if I am being annoying. Otherwise keep up the good work. Thanks
ITEM_NAME="Maemo Diablo - External SD Card" ITEM_ID="maemo" ITEM_DEVICE="mmcblk1p2" ITEM_MODULES="mbcache jbd ext3" ITEM_FSTYPE="ext3" ITEM_FSOPTIONS="noatime"

When i press the porew button in Mer, it opens a dialog that asks what to do..
lock button blanks the screen.
Yes, you can use the same swap partition for both.
No, you can only use Mer/Deblet bootmenu, other bootmenus will kill your Mer-partition, but you can add bootmenu item for your cloned maemo, so you will be able to boot your cloned maemo too.
Just add .item file to /etc/bootmenu.d/
My /etc/bootmenu.d/maemo.item looks like this:
By creating this file, and running refresh_bootmenu.d as root, you will have a bootmenu that is able to boot Maemo from internal sc card partition 2 formatted as ext3.Code:ITEM_NAME="Maemo Diablo - External SD Card" ITEM_ID="maemo" ITEM_DEVICE="mmcblk1p2" ITEM_MODULES="mbcache jbd ext3" ITEM_FSTYPE="ext3" ITEM_FSOPTIONS="noatime"
