Oh my good lord! AlmostTI is AMAZING. It's just what the doctor ordered! I've been looking for a good calculator replacement, and this is it. PERFECT!

@vj.rao
I'm not sure about kingston, but it's recommended by at least one of this boards members. You can read about the recommendation here. If you do get this card, and you find that it works for you, let us all know!

I am simply in love with AlmostTI! I remember passing over it on the maemo download site, thinking that I wouldn't like it, but after being disappointed by some other calculators, and your hearty recommend, I decided to try it out. I'm glad I did.
This is a killer app, and one that more maemo apps should aspire to be like for a number of reasons:
1) It's FAST -- It loads in a flash, and closes even faster
2) It saves your state -- as you mentioned, no fumbling with menus, just close and go, and then start back up where you left off. This is precicely what makes panucci the ebook reader so useful, and palm apps (including pre) so functional.
3) It's small -- light is better than bloated
I also love Xournal! This is the surprising killer app, and one of my favourite on the tablet.
I can actually write on this about the same rate as I do on paper. The fact that I can choose the paper type, colour, size, and create multiple pages easily is amazing. I actually find myself jotting notes using xournal in a pinch. I may even hand write a letter to my gf in some kinda nerdy romantic gesture. But seriously, I hope it gets me laid....
The only way xournal would be better if it saved the state of the note upon closing.
Honestly, the tablet has become the centre of so many of my tasks, it's on me all moments of the day. I use it for a phone, a music player, an email reader/notifier, an ebook reader, a note taker, a calculator , a pim, a timer, and a GPS. When I get into writing convenient scripts, automating tasks, etc, I can see myself using it for even more tasks.
YARR!

Haha.. Oh god, it's getting bad... Give credit to the tablet? If anything, my gf has some new competition...
Panucci is an audiobook player, so if you have audiobooks in MP3 format, it's handy. It's a very simple app, but handy in that it remembers exactly where you left off, so the next time you open, you can just start from that spot again! You can use the mediaplayer to play MP3 audiobooks, and it'll remember the file you're on, but for LONG files (> 1 hour), the resume feature in panucci is almost necessary.
There's one thing that mediaplayer has over panucci, though. When the phone rings in mediaplayer, it'll stop the song so that you can talk. Panucci has no such feature, but it's still pretty great!
Oh, by the way, have you tried tiemu2? It seems to emulate newer TI graphing calculators (Ti-89, 92 and V200). I haven't been able to install it, but would like to check it out! Let me know if you have tried it.
YARR!

I installed OpenSSH some time ago I vaguely remember reading that it helped with security? or with network communication? I may be way off, but would you explaing what OpenSSH and OpenNtPD are? I may WANT them and don't know it yet!
Thanks
***EDIT***
from openssh.com
OpenSSH is a FREE version of the SSH connectivity tools that technical users of the Internet rely on. Users of telnet, rlogin, and ftp may not realize that their password is transmitted across the Internet unencrypted, but it is. OpenSSH encrypts all traffic (including passwords) to effectively eliminate eavesdropping, connection hijacking, and other attacks. Additionally, OpenSSH provides secure tunneling capabilities and several authentication methods, and supports all SSH protocol versions.
So I guess it encrypts any information sent through? like if I'm on my tablet logging onto my bank account? the password I use would have previously not been encrypted? People could see it? and with Open SSH it is now protected?
Thanks
