i just tried to get that driver working once again.
but no success :/
i did insmod usbserial.ko and insmod pl2303.ko



here are some screenshots from my n810
i hope it helps someone to come up with an idea :/ :/

any chance pyserial and pl2303 and usbserial.ko drivers will be compiled for maemo5/fremantle for n900? I can't use the n810 .ko drivers and too much newb to figure out how to compile for n900

Hey guys,

forget about USB. You can get a bluetooth module for the Arduino on reasonable prices No wires, no hostmode, just bluetooth

Besides, it would depend on working hostmode, which we don't have on n900 yet.

well I already bought a adapter w/ female usb connector and I have to connect to cisco and like routers rs232 connectors with a iogear usb cable....is there a way to bluetooth to a receiver that connects rs232?
