Not in my case . Is there some kind of solution for this issue? When I tap on attached presentation file in email it starts Viewer, but then I receive message "File type not supported".

I'm aware that it is in alpha stage, but still I'm asking if someone found solution. Also my post could be interpreted as feedback (bug report).

Thanks, sure will take your feedback as bug report bugs can be also filed directly in Koffice for this. Can you send me more details what document type did you try to open PPT or ODP and specific version of the office document. This should work for MS for formats PPT 2000, 2003 & PPTx for 2007 and ODP Files.. This is clearly a bug if you are not able to open your file.

It's a .pps file, but that's about all I know (application/vnd.ms-powerpoint).

EDIT -> Nevermind, tried the file command:
Code:
$ file Bedstemoedre.pps
Bedstemoedre.pps: CDF V2 Document, Little Endian, Os: Windows, Version 6.0, Code page: 1252, Title: Oma\277, Author: RAH, Last Saved By: Bent Mmller, Revision Number: 3, Name of Creating Application: Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Total Editing Time: 25:41, Create Time/Date: Tue Aug 18 22:23:40 2009, Last Saved Time/Date: Mon Nov 30 11:31:32 2009, Number of Words: 60
EDIT2 -> This was with freoffice...

Just tried a random ppt from the web - didn't open from the browser, but after downloading it, I was able to open it from the viewer. Seems to have some problems switching pages in fullscreen. Other than that looks like its working.

I also opened a big cyrillic xls file and it was working (though very slow).

Forgot to mention that the package refused to install at first - missing libgsf-1. After installing it with apt-get, the other installation went through.
