Not to mention i already addressed the same thing before. Not everyone reads, you know. Why the same people also post is a bit of a mystery.

I don't care about multi-touch, i'd rather we not get capacitive, unless it is stylus-compatible, and i played with an iphone for ten minutes a couple years ago and that satisfied my curiosity. The only relevance Apple has for me is as an obstacle to progress, so i'm happy to see Nokia using what tools are in the box to cut up the Apple pie.

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?

Seems nice of Nokia to wait until Apple issued their quarterly/annual earnings. This news would have most certainly had an impact on them. But beyond that, didn't part of the early Apple desktop stem from Apple having seen the early Xerox examples at Parc (if memory serves me correctly)?... ah, here it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History...user_interface so it would not be the first time they cling to others technology. Just was not as cutthroat in the early 80s. Not to take away anything from the Apple products, perhaps just the spirit of innovation... I still have a IIGS in box... hmm, should pull that out again.

Edit: fact update...

Problem with fMMS? Run in x-terminal: cp /tmp/fmms.log /home/user/MyDocs/
After that you'll see fmms.log in filemanager or when you connect the device to your desktop as a mass storage device.
E-mail the log to me, if you don't have the email address, drop me a PM. Thanks!

I guess we are just baffled that you start talking about multitouch when this suit is about WLAN and GSM technologies

Arg, the multitouch discussion is starting to remind me of Amazon's infamous one-click checkout patent fiasco... something long overdue for invalidating as too obvious to qualify for a patent.

I love the picture on Engadget's take on the matter. Suprised that they even knew about the old 1960's version of Nokia's logo. I used to have wellingtons that had the same logo when I was just a wee boy.

I laughed when I read this in AllAboutSymbian:

"JohnnyN: Apple announce fat profits from the iphone.

Apple loses fat profits from the iphone."

Given that multi-touch was mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm betting you need to do a LOT more re-reading.
